Why Royal Enfield Himalayan is worlds most practical adventure tourer

Royal Enfield India recently unveiled the 2017 bharath 4 version Himalayan. The launch was due to the discontinuation of older bharath stage 3 vehicles from indian Market. As the company ever did before, the Himalayan came creating a new segment of motorcycles in the Indian market.

Why Royal Enfield Himalayan ?

Unlike many other countries, indian automobile market offers no options for an adventure tourer than the underpowered hero impulse (Hero recently terminated sales of this bike). Indian enthusiasts  used to custom build their bike for a bit of off-road adventures. As Sidhartha Lal - head of royal Enfield stated in his blog post about Himalayan, the available foreign made adventure tour bikes are still not that practical for use in real life Indian road conditions.

I appreciate the effort they spent on designing and developing a bike from the scratch based upon the brainwave he's got while stuck in between one of his Himalayan explorations.

As per the design team, the bike is considering the Himalayan off road terrain as its natural habitat. Experts like CS Santhosh was part of the project helping in testing the bike in real life scenarios. The Bike reportedly conquered its own Himalayan roads and the leh region many times during its pre production stage.

The production Royal Enfield Himalayan has got luggage carrying options designed integrated with it. The bike sees a pillion, huge luggage, extra fuel and water all as part of the travel and it has got enough space for accommodating the aforementioned.

How the Himalayan changed the way people ride

I often see beautiful valleys and Riverside's while riding through the countryside. Usually I stop by the road, enjoy the scene from there and continue riding because I really have no idea about how i'll manage my heavy bike off tarmac. But with a Royal Enfield Himalayan you don't have to limit yourself stop by the road. The bike let you be free to take the bike beyond the edge of the road, twist it through the off tarmac fun, and feel the nature right from its lap. The bike has got plenty of ground clearance and an on/off road tires and silencer as standard. The suspension system is also designed for combined on/ off road experiences. The bike is designed to deliver high torque even at low speeds. This is going to entertain you in the traffic, on the highways as it is off road. So, Himalayan is going to surely getting many aspiring riders to take one step beyond thinking about riding to start riding. Wishing all the best to the Himalayan and the team which worked behind the creation. The best thing about himlayan is the bike came with a whle fleet of original Royal enfield accessories. Find Royal enfield accessories at a huge discounted price here

The downsides

Though Himalayan is built for indian road conditions, The bike came with a lot of problems. Company listened to users, addressed and replaced almost all faulty components all across the sales footptrint. Still there is a bunch of customers complaining about the quality of their bike. I personally know people who owns Himalayan for quite a while. While one of them is using his bike without any problems so far, the other guy had experiences like bad service experience, problems with fit and finish etc.
